We are looking to relocate to the Orlando Area. There seems to be a lot of jobs in Timeshare Ownership Sales they seem to state everyone is making 100k first year no problem. That seems a little off to me. Just trying to verify if the earning potential is true. Any feedback would be helpful

Well if you sell enough timeshares you could make $100k but that's probably only the top 1% or less.

And you'd really believe a timeshare company? Think about it for a minute.

I think staying at the Ritz is a better deal than a timeshare.

I've been a Wyndham owner for 15 years, and their sales reps are selling each property for at least $80k to start. If you have previous sales experience, it might not be a bad place to work, but as an owner, I'd appreciate it if you'd be different than some of the liars and cheats, and actually be honest. We own three properties and love our timeshares, but have had some bad experiences with some of their sales reps.

People say you can't make money in the tourist industry but evidently you can and considering the fact that Orlando is top destination I'm pretty sure lots of people are willing to spend money on timeshares as well as vacation property.

Hilton Grand Vacations, Marriott Vacation Club, Wyndham, and Disney Vacation Club all have their corporate headquarters in the Orlando area for their timeshare divisions. The statement made in regards to wages likely only applies to white collar workers in corporate offices and of course sales reps, I would highly doubt the statement applies to "all" positions within these companies, ex. I am sure a Housekeeper or Front Desk Agent at a timeshare resort is not making 80k..
