Hello,

My husband and I are thinking about relocating to Florida from England. Since both of us won't have a job we were wondering what other English or Europeans are doing regarding healthcare coverage. I know you can be covered when you first move over for 6 months. Is the only option to come back to England every 6 months to renew it or is there anything like affordable healthcare in the US??? There is the two of us and one child to cover

It would be nice to hear what other Europeans have done?

Wow you mean all the British have to do for free healthcare is sign a paper every 6 months no matter where they live? It would be worth the plane ticket. A family plan for health insurance can cost you up to $12,000 a year.

Sorry...but you are not covered.....not even on holiday thats why you have travel insurance. You need to get full cover from day one, remember if you are relocating you are leaving the UK...the USA is not the EU. Sorry.

How are you going to emigrate to Florida without jobs..what sort of visa will you be able to get. We are hoping to emigrate fromEngland like you but I'm hoping for a job offer and they will provide the health insurance(hopefully), otherwise it will be very expensive!

Yes, you have to be treated no matter what but that does mean you do not have to pay. You can buy private health insurance.
