Sand Lake Pointe apartments near Orange Ave are income restricted. There are many around here you just have to go out and look, there's not much info on the net.

Most people in Orlando are low income, so there are lots of income restricted apts, you will find the lowest rents around KISSIMMEE AND ST CLOUD areas, do a search on the forrent website.

I tend to think of low income housing as areas where there is high crimes and lots of drug activity. Is this a fair assessment or can you find some decent low income housing?

Peter - I was very surprised when I drove a colleague home recently. She lives in subsidized housing and I expected a negative look, but her complex was really nice! It is on East Lake Mary Blvd. in Sanford. Her kids are zoned for Lake Mary schools, there are loads of families, she has a four bedroom apartment and she is very happy. To Vickie, ask about that one. I'm sorry I can't remember the name of the complex, but it's probably the only one like it on that road. It's a good, safe area. Try this site: Welcome to the Orlando Housing Authority. Good luck!
