Hi! I am 33 and moved here from Atlanta 4 years ago. I love the College Park area. It is extremely safe and the neighborhood is only 5 minutes from downtown Orlando. Windermere is a beautiful area and you will get larger houses and more of the gated communities however I am not aware of many events, etc that bring the neighborhoods together. I like College Park because it's a neighborhood where you can walk to Starbucks, 10 or so restaurants, Publix and the schools are great. The elementary school and high school are all within walking distance of downtown College Park. We have Jazz festivals, homecoming parades for the high school, a farmer's market on the weekend and lots of young families wanting the feel of surburbia without the seclusion from city amenities. Good luck with your search! The zip code in College Park is 32804 and some of the better streets are Harvard, Vassar, Shady Lane, Yale, Gerda Terrace, Lake view. You can go to mycollegepark.com and get info.
Take care and welcome! |

Good schools and close to MCO? Try the Conway area. There are many reasonably priced homes in the 32812 area. One gorgeous 3/2.5, two-story for $175,000. Lake George Elementary, Conway Middle and Boone High. Has all the neighborhood amenities; grocery stores, gyms, community center with tennis and pool, great parks and churches. Also not too far from Downtown, which has turned very trendy.
Good Luck! |

Windermere Is By Far One Of The Best Area's In Orlando, Depending On Income, There Are Three Really Nice Gated Communities. Starting With The Most Expensive Is Isleworth Golf And Country Club, Lake Butler Sound Is My Second Choice, And A Lovely Neighborhood My Third Choice Would Be Keene's Point Great Family Environment.

If you don't mind men with expensive hair cuts and Louis Vuitton wallets that treat women like **** because their own wives let them get away with it as long as they receive their weekly allowance and keys to a Lexus, Windermere is a nice place. Oh, and don't forget their snotty kids. If you are single or young, and enjoy a downtown lifestyle, downtown Orlando or Winter Park would be the best place and if you are married with kids and looking for a nice suburbia-type place, look in Clermont. If you are willing to live a little further from central Orlando, Lake Mary is a nice little place.
