I am starting my job in Orlando on December 1st...I am have a hard time finding a one bedroom apartment for a short term lease. There is a waiting list. Any suggestions..

I love Orlando but I like going to Disney World. Orlando and 140k you will live like a king. I make similar money in Nashville and I live like a king. You should do it plus Florida has no state tax, I would never live in LA or NY taxes are too high.

Biggest adjustment coming here if you haven't spent much time is the weather is pretty unbearable May-November.

It's so hard having the option of going to the beach or pool in November. Decisions decisions. I love it. Yeah it sucks if no ac and no water to cool off.

No, but lots of folks go every weekend.

I sit in my backyard and enjoy the hot sun with a cold beer in the afternoons while watching the birds enjoy my feeders and my garden.

It's not a big deal for me I've lived here pretty much my whole life. Just giving the person a heads up weather here compared to Southern California is very different. The humidity and heat here is no joke especially for someone not familiar with that type of weather almost year round.
