Default Any good primary care doctor and dentist?

I moved to Orlando last Fall. Now I really need a primary care doctor and general dentist near UCF (prefer on University Ave)? I have United Health Care HMO and Combenefit dental insurance.

Thanks a lot for the helps!

Unfortunately, I don't know of a primary care physician near UCF. I can refer you to all sorts of wonderful specialists, but not a primary care physician. We have the same dental insurance as you, and Greenberg Dental has done very well for our family. They have actually told me that we have the best insurance for any dental problems/work. We've visited them in emergencies and for regular visits. We've never had a glitch with an appointment or their billing department.

There used to be some professionals with families who posted here regularly who live in the Waterford Lakes area that would be of more help to you as far as a physician, but they got tired of the inane comments posted by unhappy people and stopped visiting here.

You might check with your provider to see what approved physicians are in the area. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

lawmargin, Not close to UCF, but excellent:

Physician; Dr. Chris Ellen Ogin, Seminole Sports and Family Medicine, Oviedo, 407. 359. 8580

Dentist; Dr. James Stonestreet, Winter Park, 407. 679. 7015

They are both very down to Earth, and won't try to stick you with anything you don't really need. IMO, the reason you are being answered with deafening silence in regard to refs for doctors is not because there are no good ones. It is almost impossible to get a doctor, here. Hardly anyone takes new patients. I'm assuming most people are terrified to give anyone else their doctor's name, because that just constitutes more competition to get in to see the doctor, themselves.

Both Dr. Ogin and Dr. Stonestreet work part time, as far as I know. (I don't spend a lot of time in doctor's offices, thankfully.) Dr. Stonestreet works Tuesdays and Thursdays. I also don't know whether they take new patients, but you can give them a try.

Thanks for the replys. That's the problem. It seems that I have insurance but I still have hard time to find some good doctors. Before moving here, there is a huge hopital and clinics near my home, I don't have any problem to find good doctors and dentist. Here, it's really hard to find one.

We really like our dentist, Dr. Michael Morra. He has two locations. One at Vista Lakes and Chickasaw Trail and one in Avalon Park which isn't far from UCF.

Dr. Morra
425 Avalon Park Blvd. Suite 500
407-249-9292

I would recommend my primary care physician because she is excellent. The problem is, it would take you 6 months to get in as a new patient, she's that good. It might make sense to make an appt. anyway, you may not find anyone you like. She is located in the offices next to Florida Hospital East.

Dr. Seth
7975 Lake Underhill Road
Suite #220
Orlando, FL 32822
Phone: 407-303-6511

I see a doctor on Alafaya & Lake Underhill. I go to Eastwood Dental. The Dentist there was recommended by several friends and he is really gentle. I like his office because they do what they need to do you your time and leave you alone after that. If these offices are not to far for you ( I know you were looking for UCF Area), send me a message and I will give you the contact info.
