Anyone know about this area of town? We have one young child and are hoping to adopt a couple more so we'd like a place with a YMCA, Good schools, friendly neighbors, other kids to play with, etc. We found a few houses we could afford in this neighborhood but before I got too excited I thought I'd post and get some insight from those of you who are familiar with the area. Thanks!

I've lived there for 14 years. West of Conway Road is a very nice area. New homes are going up in that area. There are 50 acres in that area that a big church is looking at. It is a 15 minute commute on the back roads to downtown, there is a very nice YMCA near downtown that I take my son to for swimming with a lot of youth basketball and swimming activities and summer camps for kids. My son was on a basketball team there. There is a small park with swimming a few miles away. The road at Conway and Judge, in that area, is being widened. Also check out Conway Florida | Orlando - Conway News. Houses have dropped some due to the market, and they may drop a little more before it's over.
