Does anyone have any knowledge of the Motorcycle Mechanics Institute there in Orlando? My son is a student there and of course all we have to go on is the hype from the recriuter.Has anyone attended this school? Thanks for any info!

It is a great school. I was going to go there but life got in the way. They are pretty rigorous in their assignments, turning out some great mechanics.
I wish your son luck!

Hello, I just graduate from MMI this past November 07' and I thought the school was great. I been around motorcycles for about 17 years and finally decided to get more serious about it so I went to MMI. If your son is ready for that type of learning environment then he'll learn alot. Right now I'm not leaving in Orlando I'm in PA but I'll be moving back there soon for a job that I have. Any more specific questions you have please feel free to ask.

Thanks! What kind of job are you getting? My son would eventually like to get in with one of the race teams. The school is really expensive. I just hope graduates are educated enough to get a decent paying job when they are finished. He will be coming back to North Carolina.

I think nchunter is trying to ask is, if her son attends and graduate from the school, will the jobs he get afterwards be able to pay back the loan? Not only pay back, but will it also pay enough to live decently as well? I have a cousin that wanted to go to Fulsail and the tuition there for 2 years is something like $60,000. If he doesn't land a good job anytime or don't do well in his career, he'll be in debt forever.

My boyfriend is going to be attending UTI right next to MMI in July and we have heard nothing but great things about both schools. The people there are so great and really help you through any problems that you have. Good luck!

Jobs in the entertainment industry do NOT require any type of degree. Full Sail offers a degree that is not recognized by any college or university. That's a lot of money to spend for a degree that carries to validity except at Full Sail. Jobs are in short supply and only those with 'live work' displays in their portfolios have any chance of landing employment in the ORL area. Things may be different in California. In this case, be careful how much money you spend on a degree that is virtually meaningless. Full Sail does have the latest in equipment and don't forget all students pay for those recruiters.
