I found what the catch is and it's mildly annoying. They have one unit left that's on sale and I can't get down there till tomorrow so it may or may not be available when I get there. Husband wants to move early next week since he has orientation, training and a class to go to the following week and I don't want to do all the unpacking by myself. I never thought I would hate looking for a place so much!

Lake Destiny North of 414 is nice. South of 414 is hit or miss and a bit on the dingy side.
If you're looking into Lake Destiny area, also check out Keller rd (again, N of 414) and even Camden Renaissance farther West and surroundings. Lots of options out that way. Not sure about the pets though.

Great! I found a pretty nice looking condon off of North Lake Destiny Road. I looked at Camden but I don't think they're going to have anything for when we need to move in but I'm going to check again. You've been so helpful, thank you so much!

This is a great area, I must moved back myself. It's very busy but has everything you could possibly need or want within a few miles so it makes the traffic bearable.

Do you mean Promenade? It's a tie between them and Altamira Place. I really wanted to sign with Harbor at Lake Howell but I missed their sale and it's right at the edge of my budget.

If it's still there I would give it a chance despite the annoyance. It has the best location of any of the options you have so far in terms of traffic, getting around and going to/from work, quieter setting and location in terms of amenities.

I would also check out the Brantley condos over near the country creek neighborhood. The area has good schools from elementary on up to high school. You would be near the 436 and 434 intersections and close to the 414.

Can anyone recommend a similar complex to the Harbor at Lake Howell that is in Altamonte?

I may have missed it, but is there any reason you aren't considering a house as opposed to apartment? You should have no problem finding a single-family home that's pet friendly, within 20 minutes of the Florida Hospital, under $1,200. I'd much rather have my own yard for my dog(s).
