Hello! I know all the people who love Orlando are going to come in and try to debunk my feelings on the area. I moved for the activities, hot weather, and cheaper housing. It's not what I expected. "You guys" as in hours and hours of postings I read before I moved here. Orlando just isn't for me.

I would like to add that I agree that the schools in Orange County were as disappointing as I read :-( Kind of wishing I looked into Seminole County a bit more!

well -please find where you think you will be happy - I agree not all places are for all people- I was not happy in Tampa... and you might just love it there- but time to write down the whys --pluses and minus to see where you really belong.

Why did you move here? What don't you like about the area? Specifics--- not just "It's not for me". Where are you going to move to? I hope you find what you are looking for!

Best of luck at your next destination. Life is too short to be unhappy.

I think you should first do a little bit of research as in which city's weather condition best suits you, where the living is as per your budget and then take a decision to move. I agree with tinytrump that not all places are made for everyone.
I also think that before reaching to any decision you must also go and visit the place one, live there for two or more days and then decide whether to shift there or not.

I felt like just about everyone was encouraging here when I was looking last year. But I have to agree with you, Orange Co schools are a little disappointing. Best of luck wherever you land!

The best thing I have found about central Florida is it is easy to make real good money. Now with money you can do private schools.
