Default Relocating from Ohio to Orlando

Hi. We are looking at moving to Florida in the next couple months. My husband would be working on Int's Drive S near Continental Gateway area. I have read alot of posts about different area toward the other end of town, but what locations would be a good place to live based on his work location?

We have read alot of different things about the Davenport area. Is this really a bad place for families? We have 2 small kids and know the school systems have problems everywhere. We are probably more concerned with safety issues than school issues right now.

Also we would be looking to temporarily rent until we feel more settled and sure of the areas. Any advice on what/where would be best? Apt/house?

Any thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks

I highly recommend a house.
Right now the market is down hill and so all the houses are cheap and going into foreclosure. You could prob buy a house and pay on that less than you would renting.

Default hi

The problem i find in Davenport is that alot of the properties are owned by investors who rent them out, so your neighbours may change alot, although there are some good areas there. I would deffinatly recommend renting for 6 months simply because, when you are here you get a better idea of the places you want to settle your family. Whilst i could recommend some great areas for you, i would rent and get your bearings first. Its easy to sell you something now, but if your not from the area, you really need to see whats here first and then get your feet wet. Remember its an important decision for you and your family
