I disagree viera is a very nice place. Brand new outdoor shopping mall and movie theater. Viera is quite impressive with everything located withing a few minute drive. There is alot of homes for sale so you can choose which home you would like. Palm Bay is older and has more crime compared to melbourne. Palm Bay is a place where its cheaper to live than melbourne or viera. Palm Bay dose have some new subdivisons in but why live somewhere when you could pick viera or melbourne. You might even like Titusville. Titusville is smaller than melbourne and it is closer to orlando and the kennedy space center as well. Are you looking for a job or have you found one yet? Let me know I live in brevard and could give some insight.

Viera is very structured and controlled in it's development. It's like Disney was planning it. It's pretty well laid out too. Palm Bay, on the other hand, is what happens when less than talented people form a committee. The only thing that could improve Palm Bay is a large meteor.

Viera is beautiful. When I say structured and controlled I mean it in a good way.
[just shy of Stepford ;-) ]

Viera's much newer and nicer than Titusville though.

I think Merrit Island / Viero, Melbourne and Palm Bay are the nice places, the schools there are consistently among the best in the state and are rated well above our area. I have never been much of a fan of Titusville but there are certainly worse places.
There are several decent employers in the area and the housing is very reasonable. its pretty easy to get brand new for near 100k in some of the areas. If you are on the water, get the checkbook out as they are proud, but what a view.

Search "Palm Bay" on any central Florida news web site and you'll see that Palm Bay has more than it's fair share of whack-o, kid toucher, machette swinging, wife beating, drunk shooting a gun into the air in the middle of the day on a busy road freaks. Every time I hear one of those "you can't make this stuff up" types of news blurbs I immediately assume "Palm Bay." Two out of three times I assume correctly.
