Default hi

Thats not a bad area, to offer you specific advise i would need to know what budget you are looking in, size of homes, etc. Also take into consideration comute times to places of work. Will your wife be taking a job in a hospital here, etc. These are all considerations. I had a lady in the office i used to work in who had a home she was selling in Solivita. It was beautiful and quite a nice area, the only downside for me was that it quite a way south on Poinciana, which is one heck of a commute if you need to get to anywhere north of 192.

Food for thought

My price range will be from 150 to 325 and looking for a 4 bedrooms home , my wife will choose one of the 3 hospitals close by and me being a general carpenter i will work anywhere . My daily commute here in NY can go from 15 minutes to 2 hours depending on where i am working and the traffic . My main goal to try to improve my way of living and raise my 2 young boys in a area that is somewhat nice.
I can sell up here in NY for around $425 and pay off my $70grand and have money in the bank for the future and a foreclosure or a fixer upper would be fine aswell.
Thanks for the reply

Poinciana has alot of really nice homes for sale, the school are'nt that great...
I have lived here 10 yrs now, we live just down the street from Solvita.. in the Village area.
We have seen a surge in Crime in the last couple of yrs HOEWEVER one must remember that poinciana went from about 30,000 people to 70,000 people basically over night...and with growth comes crime .. and traffic.. Both Osceola and Polk county Sheriffs have a handle on the crime we have Citizen assisted patrol out here which has done amazingly.
The traffic should start to get a little lighter once they complete the new toll road ( when they start it )
Now Poinciana is a little"isolated" we have been trying to get a Hospital of our own out here for years and the nice hospitals that are near here ( 20 minutes away) are attempting to but the KIBOSH on it..so you wife being a nurse may have a nice new hospital to work at..im a nurse and i would LOVE to work closer to home...
we are finailly getting a REAL post office, There are about 12 banks out here...LOL

As an alternative to Poinciana and still being in the orlando area, I would recomend Lake Nona or Belle Isle. If you have to be close to Poinciana I would recomend Haines City or Davenport. You said you want a better life for your family. I think a lot of people on here would agree that with the price range you mentioned and being a new home buyer down here, Poinciana is far from ideal.

Check out Hunters Creek - nice community - about 40 min from Solivita. Movie theater, lots of new shopping & restaurants etc. Good buys out there now IMO. Good Luck

Default hi there

Sorry hit the wrong button...lol Well there are so many places in the area at the moment i could recommend with prices being fantastic. If you dont have a problem with commuting then to be honest the sky is the limit.

Hi, in response to your move to florida possibly near solivita, there are many nice subdivisions close by with good schools and day cares. Osceola county is also growing in the medical field, so work for your wife should be a breeze. just remember the pay scale is different from up north =). Moderator cut: advertising
