Hi,
Im looking at possibly building a custom/semi-custom home in the winter park area ... on an new lot/teardown.

I know it's hard to give an estimate without details on the project ... but in terms of construction cost, anyone with experience or knowledge of ballpark construction costs per sq ft (builder grade for a starting point). Looking at 3500-5000 sq ft home.

Also, Im guessing things like landscape and pool are separate...

Also, what custom home builders have the best reputation in this area?

If you can afford what the price estimate is, then do it - why ask? Custom construction has doubled in price in the last 8 - 10 years. I've trashed the idea completely. I'm on to Plan B. Because this involves the purchase of (otherwise useless) property, very important to think it out TWICE...before you purchase the property.

Would you consider modular? My uncle got his built around 4000 sqft and it's amazing. Paid as much as my block home for a much bigger house

Phil Keane is a great custom builder in that area.
