I love the conveniences. There are malls, stores, theme parks, beaches, colleges, and parks all within an hour of pretty much anywhere in the Orlando area. People save up their entire lives to come here for vacation. We can decide on a Saturday to play tourist for the day and really have a nice time.

Well i don't live in FL anymore but my, how i miss not having to wear real shoes. I lived in sandals and flipflops all the time in FL. The first time i had to wear boots after wearing sandals for 2 yrs, i felt like my feet were in prison! LOL. Looking back now, i do miss FL.

Let me be the first to say, I used to bash Orlando. It was different than where I came from and I was a transplant. I now have a more different view on Orlando in general. After awhile it grew on me, I miss it so much what Orlando had to offer.
Here's what I LOVED about Orlando:

Orlando and Kissimmee area are on "theme park schedules" meaning you can order a pizza after 8pm any day of the week, and on the weekends you can get it up to 2 am in the morning.. YES!
It's hard finding that in other cities.

I miss the super wal marts or super targets, where I live now there is NONE and let me tell you my bills are now much higher for food and I can't get clothes and home goods in the same store. I have to go to multiple places and usually far away.
These carry Disney and Universal items that you can only get locally in Central Orlando!

I miss being able to find a swimsuit no matter what time of the year it was.

If you are able to afford disney, universal, sea world passes of course that is always a blast.

Downtown Disney because it was free.

Citywalk because it was free to park after a certain time and the lights, food, decorations, shops.. so fun.

I LOVE the beautiful artwork on the sides of the buildings!! So cool! My kids favorite is off 535 by Mc Donalds and Taco Bell and Red Lobster.

Orlando has the largest Mc Donald's in the USA.

Beautiful buildings and scenery, beaches not far away.

I LOVED the humidity and NOT hardly ever having to wear a jacket.
I just the other night was going through some photos and yes in the middle of december we were in short sleeved shirts and shorts.. LOVED IT.

I miss the ability to have everything at ones finger tips, whether it be miniature golfing, dinner theatres, pizza, buffet's .. you name it, it's there!

The lights! are really cool at night especially if you lived closer to Universal or Kissimmee.

Above all I miss hearing Fantasmic at night from my balcony and watching the fireworks everynight.. It really was a cool place to be.

The Outlets!! Ladies!! Shopping GALORE! Now that Stampede sold out, there will be even more shopping!

The diverse food and restraunts, not to mention the diverse food in the super markets.

ROAD RANGERS! THANK YOU! - I'll tell you what, I've never seen anything so cool and I miss the road rangers.

I miss Florida. Hope this adds something positive to your thread!

I wouldn't say I LOVE, but these things about Orlando have a place in heart:

1. The ORLANDO MAGIC, I moved here just 2 years after their first season when I was a teen so sports was my life and the MAGIC were my team. Have been a loyal fan ever since, yes even through the horrendous T-MAC years and post SHAQ. I love the fact their doing so well this year and not play-off maybes, but play off contenders. GO MAGIC!

2. The benefits we as local get from being a world class destination city. When I lived in Providence you could forget about seeing major national concerts or shows at venues like the hard rock or house of blues.

3. The outlets, where else can you get discount polo shirts, a kenneth cole briefcase, flip flops and versace shades all in the same place.......for under $1000. And dont' say Chinatown NYC because there aren't versace they're fauxsace.

4. Good sushi. Not great, but good and alot of it. I think there are at least 50+ sushi restaraunts in the area. Some are not to miss, some I wish I would have missed, but either way I like that I don't have to go the other side of town to the only, or one of few, sushi options.

5. Local High School Sports. If you grew up or have kids here you know what I'm talking bout. Every school usually has at least one sport or program that does well and gives the students and parents something to follow. Some are just perpetual athletic powerhouses. But darn those south Florida schools that seem to always break out hearts in the playoffs.

6. I don't like the weather today....oh well I guess we'll see what it's like tomorrow.

7. Proximity to all other major cities in Florida.

8. Proximity to my family. Just like the weather, like it today but may hate it tomorrow. Just kidding, for better or worse like that there all within a drive of me.

I love E Pass, because it allows me to go through the 20 or so toll booths in Orlando (More than any city in the State by far) faster than waiting in a long line.

I love our clean walkable downtown.
The treelined neighborhoods in Thornton Park, Colonial Town, and Delaney Park.
Lake Eola and the huge fountain in the middle.
The retro look and shops of Edgewater in College Park.
I love Park Avenue in Winter Park.
I love driving around town and always seeing something new being built.
Loch Haven park and the great museums there.
I love driving down Hoffner along the Conway Chain of Lakes.
I love to watch planes take off and land at the airport.
Mostly, I love my beautiful surroundings and endless entertainment options.
I love being centrally located, so when I want to get away, there are so many other areas of Florida within driving distance, like the beaches!

It would be nice though if E-Pass was compatible with EZ Pass, so I would not have to have two separate transponders to go up and down the east coast.
