Hurray

Sadly these complainers are into the Misery loves company.
Thank -you for being happy.
I agree, but here is the problem, if you actually do the things these people say they love in this thread, you will want to blow your brains out. I agree to each his own but driving down Hoffner Avenue. Would anyone actually ever have out of town relatives from sophisticated cities ever do any of these things? You missed walk under the 4 underpasses and see all the interesting people!!

positive thoughts, yay!

A couple that I don't think anyone has mentioned yet:

the fresh bread smell while passing Marita on I-4
the Orlando Science Center (and the cool bridge from the parking garage to the building)

Default Ex-Orlando Resident here

I actually miss the airport. Orlando has a clean and efficient airport. I dread going to the airport here in Atlanta. If anybody's ever been, it's dirty and slightly on the ghetto side. Plus the flights are so expensive. I think because Orlando, or Florida in general, is a tourist destination, you can catch flight deals all the time.
And i'm sure it's been mentioned before, the sunshine, the sunshine, the sunshine....

You need to make friends with someone who works there. My daughter sings at Epcot with her high school during the holiday season and gets two free tickets everytime her school sings there. Parents can sing too and get two more free tickets. We got 16 free tickets last season.

I hope getting up with 50 degree morning was killin' me. My son (5 years old) was crying one morning that it is freezing like Chicago and ran outside to see if we had snow! ha ha ha.

I have to say that it took me two years to want to be here. I was one of the nagging Orlando bashing Transplants. That Floridians would always say " Then why don't cha go back?" and I would say "If I could I would in a heartbeat". But I love gardening in the morning and swimming or laying out in the evening. Going for a bike ride to the local ice cream shop. I miss my family and the city, but I am so content here!

I am now a person that gets p'ed off when people complain too much. Things will get better- housing & job market. Gas won't happen. ha ha. But we have to demand and stand firm for change. Negativity will get us no where.

In Closing, I LOVE THE WIERD BIRDS (SON CALLS THEM DINO BIRDS), HAWKS, BUZZARDS, AND PLANTS/ PALMS. BEAUTIFUL STUFF EVERY DAY- JUST HAVE TO OPEN EYES!
