Hi All,

My wife and I are first time home buyers. We are looking at a few homes in Heathrow FL. Just a few questions as we are terrified out of our minds (but equally excited!).

1. Is the Heathrow value worth it? We see some areas outside of Heathrow with more home for the money - like Timicuan and some areas of Longwood. We love the private community of Heathrow (security, isolation, community maintenance, etc). Should we?

2. Any concerns living in Heathrow? Looks like pleasantvile! Just curious if it is still like that after you move in!!

3. Are some of the subdivisions just not worth living in? I am sure like any neighborhood there are certain areas that are much more in demand then others. However, are there any subdivisions that are considered "undesirable" or less desirable even though they are located in Heathrow? We are looking in Keenwicke for example. Currently, we have no kids. However, the plan is too have one or two in the near future. If we wind up not having any, will we regret this area? Anything we should know, or any areas we should avoid?

Any thoughts on Heathrow, Keenwicke or just in general would be much appreciated!

Thanks!!!

Heathrow is a bit over-glamorized as there are many other communities as nice or nicer in the area I would recommend checking out too. Lake Forest would be my recommendation as it's much more geared toward younger families (Heathrow has a surprising number of empty-nesters and retirees due to the age of the community) and still offers the security of a gated entrance and is zoned for A+ schools.

I cant imagine any regular member helping you out now, I'd lose respect for him or her if they did lol.

Well this forum has no class. Thanks! One response telling me to live in a place hours away (I think) is not what I was liking for. Anyway, I tried. Mods can delete my name. This forum is useless.

He wasn't talking about the city of Lake Forest, FL...

He was talking about the community of Lake Forest located in Sanford... which was a great suggestion.

You really need a realtor to help you.

Right and you have a lot of class by completely ignoring someone who wrote a paragraph to help you out and then confused his recommendation with some community hours away?

Did it ever occur to you when you came to ask questions that those answering might have some knowledge of the area, and wouldn't recommend something nowhere close to where you intended? Talk about lacking class...

As an FYI....Lake Forest Sanford FL Community Info

This forum is actually the opposite of useless, but thank you for your insightful contributions to it by insulting people who are trying to help you.

Heathrow is nice. Lake Mary is nice. Good luck.
