Question Relocating to Orlando...Where to live near airport

We are relocating to Orlando. We have children that need a good public school & I will be working at the Airport. Can you give advice on the different areas & which neighborhoods would be the best to look for housing?

Default Hi

If you need to be near the airport i would recommend the Lake Nona area. There are some nice homes there and they are pretty reasonably priced. I have been sourcing properties for an out of state client of mine in that area and there are alot of good deals to be had in that area. You can check out the crime and school state from city-data on that area

Good luck

Just don't live near Lee Vista area. There was an old bombing range, where houses are built on live explosives.

Well I don't know what you consider an acceptable commute to the airport.
If you can do 20 to 30 minutes during rush hour then you might want to consider Tuskawilla, Oviedo, Winter Park, Winter Springs, near 417. 417 is a toll road but its a pretty easy commute to the airport. It takes me about 20 minutes to the airport during off hours and 45 minutes during rush hour taking the regular roads Semoran Blvd to the airport. 417 is much quicker. Then you will be in Seminole County School District. It will be easier to find A schools in Seminole.

About Winter Park. Only part of Winter Park is in Seminole County.
