Default Stop Daylight saving change in Florida

This "Spring ahead' and "Fall back" time change needs to stop. This is an archaic idea that is no lopnger practical. In fact, it is very dangerous for children at the schoolbus stop. Many adult commuters resent it as well....BECAUSE IT IS AN OBSOLETE IDEA! Lets move forward and go back to the way things were. I,m a morning person....

High schools in our area start so early that my daughter has to walk to the bus stop in complete darkness. Before we switched back to Daylight Saving Time at least it was a little light when she left for the bus. Now it is pitch dark. Do we have to wait for someone to get seriously hurt or killed before we do something. This is insane!

Agreed, and the last thing we need at night is an extra hour of heat and humidity. No need for day light savings time. It should be scrapped!!!

This is more energy efficient. We use less electricity at night when people are up and around. We need to save energy. Let's look at the big picture, folks, and not be so concerned over our individual wants.

Individual wants? I am concerned about the kids going to the bus stop in the dark. And where are the studies showing it to be energy efficient?

I was told that studies were made and overall there is no energy savings at all. In fact in some areas more energy is spent running air conditioners longer!

The energy saved analysis has been proven to be bogus. How about saving lives with day light in the morning. Also, who wants to get out of bed in the dark???
