I'm glad you started this thread. I love living in Florida for so many reasons but I have to say the crime here really worries me.
When I lived in Texas I was about 30 miles from Fort Worth, I just don't recall this much crime being reported. I don't know the answer or the reason but I wish they could so something about it.

I concede that there is a general lack of crime within the park gates of Disney World. All other central florida residents who don't live inside theme parks, your life doesn't matter.
