CHarlotte is worse then Orlando by far
Orlando is heaven compared to Charlotte,NC.. It sucks here. They only affodable neighboorhoods are crack infested crime holes. We get just as hot in the summer and the winters here are boring as hell. You guys have no reason to complain at all. I lived in Orlando 3 years ago for 6 months and it was alot better then this dump. The southern hospitality is nothing more then hidden anger but too afraid to express it. Come see for yourself

Only on City-Data, "Crime-Hole". Charlotte is not a "dump" and Orlando is not heaven compared to Charlotte. Charlotte is way better than Orlando in most ways. That's right, I said it. Vastly, vastly overrated? Oh, for sure. But far from a dump. And in Florida, compared to other cities, Orlando sucks. That's right, I said it again. Try Tampa, Jacksonville, Ft. Lauderdale or one of the smaller cities depending on what you want. Much better than Orlando.
Also, if it's not too late, don't post anything negative about Charlotte on the Charlotte forum even if it's true. You will get labeled a troll and they will eat you alive. However I already think you are a troll.

Interesting to hear the words "Orlando" and "heaven" in the same sentence!
Something tells me that Charlotte is not agreeing with you...

"crime-hole" LOL.. that is funny!!.. both places are so much overrated. ..I also lived in both places and it's different culture all together. You just cannot compare!! Orlando has more things to do though, I'll give it that.

Won't argue with your comment on hospitality as I can see that you probably don't hang with great people and people that you meet could likely give you the cold shoulder due to an attitude problem. I live in the least expensive part of Florida and know Orlando intimately. I can without any reservation attest that Charlotte is an easier city to get around as there is a center city that the rest of the county evolves around for the most part. Though the crime is bad in some parts of Charlotte, it seems seemed to be much more prevalent among youth in Orlando. In comparison, Charlotte is a bargin compared to the whole Orlando area in the housing arena. Taxes are much lower, cost of houses are more reasonable, weather is better, and the threat of tornados isn't as high in Charlotte. I am not saying that I dislike Orlando, I used to live there. I still think that the Orlando area is great if you are very old. The Epcot/Disney thing wears thin after a while. I would suggest that you try to improve your attitude. I have found that if I think positive about a place, I will look for the good, find it, and be happy regardless of where, visa versa. I have found places that I have liked more than other places, but none that I have hated.

You just reminded me that I saw a report a few years back from the western U.S., saying that the eastern U.S. was about to see the "crystal meth" wave hit it. And that they didn't know what they were in for.
It appears the wave has hit. Also, I recently heard a police officer state that heroin is cheaper than marijuana (sp?). So, there you have it.
