Contrary to your erroneous belief, emergency room visits have not decreased nor have premiums. Both are up. Premiums have skyrocketed. People don't use the care they have bc they can't afford the gargantuan deductibles. This is the biggest ruse of all, calling something "coverage" when it is not used bc of the deductibles. Single payer leads to poor outcomes as the quality of physician care over time decreases and bureaucracies decide on your care, not you and your physician.

The funny thing about a lot of people. They don't mind a few hundred bucks taken out of their check to pay for healthcare. Give that same person the entire check without the withholding and tell them that same few hundred would pay for their care but instead they must write a check for the same amount as the previous withholding and they will balk at it.
Premiums were skyrocketing before the aca. The rate of growth in er visits, premiums and healthcare spending is lower than before it, despite the fake stuff trump says:

And whether you like it or not, you pay the cost of uninsured people showing up to the ER with higher premiums

It was not sky rocketing like Obamacare and deductables were so much better too

It took a bad system and made it worse for most people

It was pretty bad before and after. Some studies suggest that healthcare and premium costs aren't rising as fast in the after Obamacare was passed. And plus it forces freeloaders into the system

And the ACA polls well with people, better than recent republican plans. The average person is too stupid to realize that the aca and Obamacare are the same thing, but when the polls ask about obamacare specifics, it polls well.

Poll: ObamaCare more popular than House GOP healthcare bill | TheHill

One-third of Americans unaware ObamaCare, ACA are the same | TheHill

Bottom line, republicans are wasting time on trying to repeal the ACA, they can't think of anything better and don't even have the votes to pass their ****ty compromise bill.

They need to move on to tax reform which is actually more realistic....need my tax cut!

The system is collapsing upon itself. I realize blaming Rs is the fashionable thing to do on this, but the Ds OWN Obamacare and the ensuing collapse. Rs have let the perfect be the enemy of the good in trying to replace, which shows why adding a layer of govt to major parts of the economy is always the worst possible path. Bc entitlements are nearly impossible to scale back once entrenched.
