Husbands company may be relocating him to Orlando area. We currently live in Texas. I don't even know where to begin with location. I've lived in Dallas area most of my life so I'm familiar with the neighborhoods. We have two elementary aged children so schools are very very important to us. Budget for 4 bedroom home would be $350K-420K and prefer 2800 sqft or more...could do with 2500 if laid out nicely. What areas would we be able to afford something decent in with good rated school or even possibly walking distance to several of the schools? We live right next door to the elementary, middle and high school currently so we like to ride bikes and walk. Husband will more than likely be working out of a North or Central Orlando location and since he is in Sales spends most of his time working out of his car or from home so location isn't that crucial. I'm ok with the suburbs. If your familiar with Dallas, we are looking for communities similar to Frisco, Mckinney, areas.

Maybe look around Lake Mary, but it’s important to know what area you’ll work. Welcome to Orlando

Check out the Sweetwater Oaks, Sabal Point and Wekiva area in Longwood which are well-established planned communities that will offer the size required in your price range in closer proximity to good quality schools. It's a high demand area but worth the lower inventory if you're willing to deal with fewer choices.

Oviedo or Winter Springs would be top. Maitland after that.

Don't count on living near your kids Elementary, Middle, and High. The zones here are big and unlikely to span all three in a close distance.
