I am moving back to Florida April 1, and I need to find new doctors. I am posting this to both the Orlando and Tampa forums because where I am moving is pretty much equidistant from both cities on HWY 60. I have intermittent AFIB so I will be looking for a Cardiologist, Electrophysiologist as well as a regular doctor and I need to know about the best hospitals in the areas.

My mom has AFIB as well. Orlando has a lot of nice hospitals. I can't speak for Tampa as I've never lived there before though.

Orlando is a hot spot for healthcare.. Orlando Health and Florida Hospital are some of the largest and most reputable hospital systems in the state and both are based out of Orlando..

I dont know if your coming from the east coast or not but here is something i noticed coming from NY. Almost NOBODY accepts HealthFirst insurance. I been looking for a Dentist for 11 days and still cant find one that will accept that insurance even if does say it on their website.

I thought healthcare was supposed to be valid anywhere in the U.S but im coming to discover it drastically varies as u cross state lines. Just something to keep in mind.

Dental plans in general are an absolute waste.
