Williamsburg Downs Shopping Center is a retail center located at the southeast quadrant of Central Florida Parkway and Orangewood Boulevard in the Orlando community in Orange County, Florida.

Williamsburg Downs Shopping Center was previously anchored by a 39,000-square-foot supermarket, Publix #274, 5350 Central Florida Parkway, Orlando, Florida 32821-8772. Publix #274 opened circa 1984 or 1985. It added a pharmacy department in 2003. It closed in 2017 to make way for a 45,600-square-foot replacement store, Publix #1610.

Publix #1610 could be opening soon. Publix Pharmacy #1610's pharmacy license has been issued by the Florida Board of Pharmacy.

A 10,356-square-foot drugstore, Eckerd #2652, 5402 Central Florida Parkway, Orlando, Florida 32821-8774, operated west of Publix #274. Eckerd #2652 was closed by or had closed in 2005.

Welcome to Winter Springs... Oh wait, Winter springs is roughly 40 minutes North, and this is Williamsburg... Am I the only one tired of seeing every part of Metro Orlando looking the exact same?

The store mix is pretty good, that part of Orlando needs a shopping plaza like this.

Williamsburg is east of three Sea World parks adjacently.

It would be a drive to get to necessities without Williamsburg Downs Shopping Center. Williamsburg Downs Shopping Center serves a purpose.

Yes, I am aware.
I just find it a tad bit boring how every new(er) development in the area looks exactly the same. I feel like the developers are just lazy and copy/pasting everything from a previous project, rather than use creativity to set areas apart from each other.

What sets places like Winter Park, Thornton Park, Heathrow, Markham Woods, etc. apart is that they are unique and offer a level of charm of their own.

Just my opinion, but I'd like to see more unique areas as opposed to more of the same.

Yep I agree, this will serve tourists but also allow more locals to call this area home too.

That area is really turning out nice from all the development along Universal Blvd.

It's safer to do the same old thing. Developers know that throwing up the typical suburban strip center will likely gain more interest from the typical retailers (dunkin donuts, matress firm, at&t, nail salon, etc.) that you see going into all these new developments. The unique centers and developments need to be saved for the unique areas like I-drive, Windermere, Winter Park, etc. These areas attract the more specialty retailers and restaurants that are looking for nicer and more upscale centers.

I like Stonehill Plaza in Oviedo that's under construction now. It's on the NW corner of Alafaya & Mitchell Hammock. It's not too unique, but at least a step in the right direction. It at least looks more upscale than most centers around it in Oviedo currently.

I also think it comes down to cost, they have to save the more unique custom designs for high rent areas. The Grove at Windermere is gorgeous. Restaurant Row in Dr Phillips is very nice. Dellagio in Dr Phillips is very nice. Trader Joes / Slate in Dr Phillips is very nice. I wish every strip mall could be unique and beautiful, but I understand it just isn’t realistic to expect that. They are still better than the average one in California at least.
