I am genuinely curious why people do this? I see this all of the time. I know we are a tourist area, but when a person flies into our airport, a hotel shuttle will come and get them, and they can leave their luggage in their room. I would think people would prefer not to drag their suitcases with them when they explore our city. And I'm not talking about just on Semoran where I might be able to excuse it as the shuttle driver took longer than the people were willing to wait. I see it continually on OBT, I-Drive, and Sand Lake as well. Perhaps one of the tourists who's done this before can weigh in and tell me why they did it.

It may seem weird in a city where people will drive to their mailboxes, but in the rest of the world people aren't adverse to walking moderate distances.

Ain't that the truth. I was just in London and people were rolling their luggage everywhere. Including me!

A lot of hotels don’t allow you to drop off bags early nor hold bags after check out. Nicer hotels allow you, but a lot of cheaper ones don’t.

Once you check out of your room, you may not be able to go back to the hotel to pick up your stuff (maybe it's way out of the way to get back to). Or, as someone else noted, they may not be able to hold your luggage for you. So you are forced to schlepp it along. I'm sure they would rather not, but sometimes it's the only option.

Lots of luggage stores near the tourist areas for a reason. Foreign tourists will come here, buy (Literally) suitcases full of shoes or clothes, and then take them back to their home country to resell. If you're seeing them walking along I-Drive with suitcases, chances are they just bought them and are now about to go shopping.
