Bubblicious, Christian was banned from the board - so I wouldn't worry too much about him. But....I have a feeling he keeps coming back under different alias'.

Have a great evening, Bubblicious and enjoy that great shopping at Waterford Lakes Town Center...maybe I'll run into you there someday. I'll be the one eating at Too Jays!!

His posts were rather entertaining to read, even though they were filled with such HATRED for Orlando. I know that he mentioned he and his wife moving out of Florida in March of 2007 to Colorado (I've seen him posting a lot in the Colorado forums, too). In any event, I'm really sorry that he's so down on Orlando and discouraging anyone who makes any inquiries. However, I hope he finds what he's looking for in Colorado, or wherever he plans to move.

Happy New Year!

Hi, just settled into the Lake Nona area (east of the airport). There is quite a bit of new construction going in that area...also Lee Vista near 417. Not as congested as some areas, but I'm sure when they build it, they will come.

Welcome, oasisbabe we are neighbors. I also live in the Lake Nona/Vista Lakes area. We built our new home here two years ago but have lived in Orlando/Winter Park for 25 years.

Deana,

I have lived in Sanford for about a year and I attend Seminole High School.
Yes, Sanford has its ghettos and its maybe not-so-good neighborhoods.
But, every town does.
I live in Sanford, in a neighborhood called The Preserve at Astor Farms.
It is by Orange Boulevard and 46.
It's a gated community.
I have never been robbed, or assaulted or anything alike.

Now let me tell you a bit about myself.
I have lived in many places, including Boston, Arizona, Rhode Island, Vermont, and even Chile, in South America.
I can tell you from experience, that Sanford is probably the best place I've ever lived in.

I currently attend Seminole High School.
The education is awesome.
The teachers are great, and the district is even better.

Please don't think of Sanford as a "druggie" town.
Sanford has a very "homie" atmosphere to it.
We have a very beautiful Christmas parade,
and also a homecoming one in which i was part of.

Your quality of life really depends on which part of Sanford you choose to live in.
Yes, we have our bad neighborhoods,
but sincerely,
the good outweigh the bad.

I'm glad you have chosen Sanford to be one of your options.

-Romina

Currently have a house in St Cloud so do not send me there. Am looking at possibly west near Winter Garden, east near Avalon Park and north as far as Sanford. Thanks so much. I am living in South Florida so people, traffic, home prices, congestion and any other negatives will have no effect on me. Thanks
How has the search gone? If you still happen to be looking I would definitely look into Winter Park and Clermont. Clermont has some of the most beautiful rolling hills and lakes in the Orlando area. Winter Park has a great little downtown and many beautiful streets with mature trees. It's growing, but has managed to keep its small-town character. Downtown Orlando has some great neighborhoods too, like Thornton Park, that you don't want to miss. Hope it's going well.
