Did you go to the Winter Park one? That’s my favorite Foxtail.

I've tried 'em all. I think Orlando is lacking in good coffee shops, but this is from someone who came from NY so it's not really a fair comparison. I've noticed a decent upswing in the amount of boutique (i.e. hipster) coffee shop in recent years and am happy for it. Unfortunately where I live the only thing decent that's close is Holy Grain and they're just OK. They loaded up on the best coffee equipment money can buy but use mediocre, overroasted beans (at least that was my experience last time I was there). If anyone knows of a good place around the MetroWest/Millenia area I'm all ears.

Lineage is probably my favorite overall. Foxtail has a killer cold brew... just wish it was cheaper. Paying $5 for a cup of coffee is becoming harder and harder to stomach for me.

Have you tried Achilles Art Cafe in MetroWest? I love their coffee and the food is awesome.

I’ve heard good things about Paloma Coffe Co. in downtown Windermere but I have yet to try it.

I second Achilles. The only downside is that they open at 10am and is closed on weekends, so if you're trying to swing by for coffee before a 9-5 job or you don't do caffeine after a certain time, then you're out of luck.

I'm pretty close friends with the owner. Go there more for the ambiance and beer/wine than the coffee though. I've met almost everyone I know in Orlando there since moving to Orlando.

Word of warning though... don't get on the owner's bad side lol

Haha good to know! He’s always been nice to me; I think he runs an awesome business and I even donated when they had the fire a couple years back. And his sandwiches are the best.

He's nice if you you're nice to him, but if you take advantage in any way he will let you hear it. And honestly, based some of the stories he's told me (although I didn't hear the other side), I can't really blame him. A lot of students from Valenica and whatnot treat that place as their personal living room (loiter for hours and don't support the business).

Chances are though you probably won't even see him... at least if you come later in the day. He doesn't work anywhere near as much as he used to.

I remember the fire... I actually helped him move in and build some of the replacement furniture.

I agree that the food is really good, although a little greasy. It can take a while sometimes though as there's only usually one person working the kitchen.
