Are you in Altamonte? I was hoping to stay in Altamonte? Do you recommend any apartments in Altamonte?

I am a college student, but I am looking for a nice area to live in during my internship. I will be interning at MindComet in Altamonte Springs. I have been looking at Apartments and was wondering if you have feedback on any of these:

Orange North Apartments
943 West Orange Blossom Trial
Apopka, FL 32712

Barrington at Mirror Lake
700 Post Lake Place
Apopka, FL 32703

Raven Crossings
801 RAVENS CIR
ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL 32714

Maitland Gardens
6750 Woodlake Drive
Orlando, FL 32810

Altamonte Manor
849 South Wymore Road
Altamonte Springs, FL 32714

The Palms at Altamonte Springs
828 Orienta Ave.
Altamonte Springs, FL 32701

Any information would help! I'm looking for an apartment within the 500-700 dollar range for a 3 to 7 month lease.
Of these places I would reccomend Raven's Crossing and Barrington. Of those two I would say Raven's Crossing gets the edge because it's closer to I-4 and virtually right next to Target, Sams, Wal-Mart, Panera Bread and Borders. Barrington is not much farther though. As far as I know both these areas are safe. I had a friend who lived in Barrington when it was Pearl Lake and the area that Raven's Crossing is in is well developed and safe. You may also want to look in Craigslist for condos for lease in Camargo across from Raven's Crossing. For what it's worth, I think there's a driving range and 9 hole gold course next to Raven's Crossing.

I'm not in Altamonte myself but I lived there for a while and I still live near (5-8 Minutes) Altamonte. I've lived in this particular area for over 10 years now. I agree with Crane's Rooster on places to live. Obviously, this is a person who lives in the area (hence the name Cranes' Rooster).

No longer live there but grew up there. Still love the area and proud to be from there.

I saw the Camargo area mentioned on a prior post and I'll comment about it since I just moved out of it. The Camargo area isn't too bad, but its in a downward spot at the moment. About a year ago it was pretty nice and quiet, but there are a lot more renters than owners in there and some of the people won't give you warm and fuzzy feelings when you are in the community. Raven's crossing honestly looks like its a lot better at this time. Its also not right in front out on SR 434 which is very busy and also currently under construction.

We moved over to Casselberry and are near Deer Run Country Club and we like it a lot better over there.

Good luck!

Default Th Palms

I highly recommend the Palms in Altamonte Springs. New management has proved to be excellent. New landscaping, new pool surface, new Excersize room, very nice. If you have a maintainance issue - done, fixed by the next day. I've been there a little over a year - not one insect. Screened in patios are awesome. For me - it's home.
