Winter Park, FL (University, Andover, Sorrento: apartments, income, work)

I just wanted to see opinions on Winter Park. I know there are some nice areas and some ghetto areas. I was looking into the Sorrento Apartments. They have a great rating and are located along Howell Rd.

Usually any Winter Park with the 92 zip code is pretty decent. That's not a bad area to be in and those apartments aren't too bad either. Stay away from the Lee road area in Winter Park (not all of it is bad, just most) and you should be ok.

I lived in the area a few years ago, off University, and I really liked it. Shopping was close and traffic wasn't too bad.

Now this is a great place.!!!! Especially when they tore down some of those low income homes!!!!

Are there any apartments you guys recommend in winter park? Sorrento is booked till June. I'm looking for a 1 bed 1 bath or studio...within the 600 range.

I would suggest the 800 range if you want to be somewhere decent. Unfortunately there are not as many safe options in that price range. If you cannot afford more, you may want to look for roommates or renting a room in a house too. I would say 800 should be your low end and your average would be 900-1200.

I am trying to understand this city data business. This slim1524 has been cut by moderator for answering the question of what apartments to recommed? He said he'd recommend the apt where he lives, but then got cut for solicitation. Will the keeper or any of the senior members please explain toi me how this works? Thanks.

I think he was the one who also had ads on most posts about a moving business and a number was at the bottom of all his posts. That is probably why.

Ohhhhhhh. So his post was advertising and they cut that part off. That makes much more sense to me now. I was getting worried about what I can and cannot say. I didnt wanna get kicked off. But now I totally get it. A little slow but I do get it. Thanks Wilshire. You're okay !!!
