My husband and I are planning to move to the Orlando area this summer. My job will be a traveling position b/t St. Cloud, Kissimmee, and Orlando and possibly even Tampa and he'll be in school at UCF. My husband is also an excellent carpenter so we're looking for a major fixer upper in a good neighborhood. We don't mind living outside the city (and actually prefer it) or even in another suburb or in Kissimmee or St. Cloud. Anyone have any tips on what areas to look in (older, but safe). Our budget is about 200,000.

or you could look at condos or townhouses, but the average price in Orlando is still higher than that I think even with the bad market.
