Space Coast Anyone? (Orlando, Melbourne, Titusville: jobs, housing, high crime)

Hello, I am hard working young & single guy looking for to move to the Space Coast area very soon but need a little advice on the best places to live in this region that would fit my lifestyle. I live in Orlando now and have seen the Cocoa and Titusville areas but am not impressed. There seems to be a much older crowd there, is this true for the whole space coast?, I would love any comments or opinions-Thanks!

The whole Space Coast is not like that, what are you looking for as far as housing, entertainment, etc?

Housing is not really a big deal being single and young, however I am worried that the area is more of a retirement community or family community. I am looking into Melbourne now but I just need a younger crowd and some diversity as far as culture, please help!

I moved from Cocoa to Orlando. There is high crime in Cocoa and is getting to be a dump. Same thing with Titusville. There is not alot of high paying jobs left in that area.Shuttle program is shutting down and sea ray a big source of jobs there has announced they are shutting down the plant they have in Merritt Island.Maybe you could do Cocoa Beach or Sattilite Beach,Melbourne. I still have alot of friends in that area and everyone of them want out. Becareful ALOT of sexual preditors in brevard area and drugs. But thats IMO...

After checking out the whole area, I think that the Viera area has the best location but south Merritt Island is also nice!
