Default LDS moving from utah to Orlando

My husband and I are moving from Utah and we are looking for a home or townhome in a great area around Orlando we are willing to spend $1000-1300 for rent. We are LDS and are looking for a great family area with a good ward. My husband will be attending UCF to get his masters. We are looking for a safe, friendly area where we could start a family. I don't know much about the area but my husband is willing to commute 30-45 min so we can live in a good safe family area. Any info would help. Thanks.

They have an LDS temple in Windermere, just outside Orlando. I live about 2 hours from Orlando, but have some familiarity with the area. The city of Orlando seems crowded, but there's plenty to do. There are plenty of housing developments going up on the outskirts of Orlando and in nearby Osceola County. Anyway, best of luck in your move and Master's Degree. BTW, I love it out in Utah, and I'll be there in August for 10 days checking out the national parks.

It sounds like the East side of town, Oviedo, Waterford Lakes, Avalon may offer what you are seeking. The only Temple I personally know of is the one on Apopka Vineland in Windermere It can't be missed. Orlando Florida LDS (Mormon) Temple
It is the primary site in town but there are a few others. One On Bumby would be the closest to the East side of town. UCF is located on University and Alafaya, on the East side. Any of us agents can look up some rentals for the area and email them to you.
Hope that helps.

I am not sure if you've even already moved out here or if you'll check the board but we're in the Oviedo Ward & we like it. We are renting a HOUSE for $1295 although then you have to do all the yardwork & HOA's can be a pain in the neck to deal with. You can get a GREAT townhome for $800
