Hi Orlando, single mom of three, professional nurse, African -American, looking to relocate to preferably Seminole county. Praying that I don't run into any racism in this day and age. where should I NOT move? Any suggestions?

Orlando is very diverse and welcoming, so you should have no problem there. Most of Seminole county is safe and has good schools so you should be good. There are not a lot of areas that I would flat out tell you to not move to, but parts of Casselberry, Fern Park, and Sanford are not as nice as the rest of SC. Orange county has some neighborhoods to avoid outright.

Stay away from pine hills and the South OBT area.

Altamonte and Sanford. For Orange County (Maitland).

You won't hit any racism in Orlando, racism is one of the few bad things Orlando does not have, it is completely diverse.

I would stay away from Sanford and Lake Mary. I used to live there and there was definitely a background aura of tension around there. I think it was the income disparity between the poor "black" parts of Sanford and the affulent "white" Lake Mary. However, the rest of Seminole County is completely fine and quite diverse compared to other suburban regions. You will have no problems . Look into WEST Altamonte Springs, parts of Winter Springs, and Oviedo. It depends on where you work.

Appreciate your inputs. Also looking to open up a center for at-risk youth. Where do you think a center of such sort would be mostly appreciated?
