You missed Crane's Rooster's point altogether I do believe. If you read the article, it states, and I quote

" 32 buses that carried an estimated 1,600 high-school students from South Florida to the International Drive tourist strip."

These kids really were NOT FROM AROUND HERE. In every sense of the word, they don't live here at all, they aren't transplants, immigrants, etc. They were here for a one day trip, and if you ask me....bringing 1600 high school kids in for a day trip is asking for trouble. Obviously at least one of them had trouble on their mind from the get-go if there was a gun found on the bus

One that bothers me the most is when tourists(anyone that lives outside of the tampa/orlando are) come here and think they know orlando like the back of their hand. Tourists just need to be more aware of their surroundings anywhere they go, even disney. and is much bigger than the International drive corrider, just so you know.
