Default I am moving to Orlando, need to know which are the safest areas to live??

Hi, I am moving to Orlando and would like to hear from people there to find out which are the better areas to live. My main concern is safety, I dont mind traffic jams as long as it is in a SAFE area. I have read on this site that Windermere is one of the safest places. Any take on Hunters Creek or Kissimmee. I will be looking for a 3 bed/2 bath apartment in the $1500 range so any suggestions will be helpful. I have read some bad reviews about some apartments. Does anyone live at the Rapallo apartments and is it recommended. Is Rapallo in Hunters Creek or Kissimmee or somewhere in between. Thanks in advance for your help.

Pine Hills and Paramooore are good areas, good schools and limited traffic.

I would suggest Winter Park, Maitland, parts of Casselberry, Winter Springs, Oviedo, and some parts of Longwood.

Maybe I'm getting mixed up, but I thought people on this board had said that Pine Hills was an area to be avoided?

He's just trying to be funny.... not. Avoid Pine Hills & Paramore Caplund it's one of the worst areas in Orlando.

Check out Waterford Lakes area... it is East Orlando where 408 meets Alafaya Trail. There are a lot of nice homes and apartments in the area.

If you are going to joke around at least put in a smilie, so the OP knows you are kidding.

There are a lot of threads that list those areas as being not the best areas to live in.

Good areas are Winter Park, Hunter's Creek, Windermere, Dr. Phillips. I live in Hunter's Creek and crime is VERY LOW. I love the neighborhood and lots of things for kids to do. I've never heard of the Rapallo apartments you're speaking of, and I've lived in Hunter's Creek area for 14 years. Feel free to contact me with any specific questions about Hunter's Creek or surrounding area.
