Obviously, your money goes MUCH further in Sanford... we've seen quite a few homes in great developments in Sanford. The realtor we spoke with today said that contrary to popular opinion, the quality of Sanford schools are on par with Lake Mary. What do you think?

They are very much on par, we live in lake mary but we live in "unincorporated" seminole county, outside the city limits of lake mary. the school my daughter attends (she's in middle school) has an excellent program, and the high school is excellent too. welcome to the area!

Some Sanford schools have improved -- there are pockets of good and not so good. I have always found greatschools.net to be an excellent site of information, including rating schools. In order to gauge comparison, enter a school from your current area that you are familiar with to get a basis for schools in another state. Good luck!
