help me create an itinerary for my and our 20-month old (Orlando: neighbourhood, train)

me, my wife and our 20-month old are heading to Orlando in June with some additional family members. They are heading to Disney World, which seems a bit too "old" for our daughter.

We'll probably go to Sea World, because she absolutely loves fish/whales/the water, but where else should we go?

Please help us create our itinerary. Thanks.

With such a young child its hard to know what she would like. Disney at what used to be MGM may be good bacause they have playhouse Disney there. In terms of other things to do, all i could suggest would be things like the beach, water parks. Wet and wild has a designated area for younger children. Otherwise i can only suggest the parks. When we used t obring our child before we moved here revolved around Disney to be honest and what we wanted to do. The only other thing i can suggest is a petting zoo which in my experience our daughter loved. There is one in Kissimmee.

We took our 22mth old to Florida earlier this year and he loved it. We visited Sea World twice - there's a massive outdoor play area for kiddies there with slides etc that our L.O loved, we also took him to Magic Kingdom which again went down well mainly because of the number of times he was able to get on the train there and we arranged a character breakfast with Pooh and friends.

We also did Hollywood Studios (MGM) which is good for characters (we met Buzz) Although we didnt get there Id say that animal kingdom would be a good idea. We did also visit Islands of Adventure and although its not geared to younger children there is a playground in Suess Landing.

We stayed in a villa and used the pool quite a lot which he absolutely loved, the resort also had its own park and we took him to some neighbourhood playgrounds too on days we were just relaxing.

Downtown disney is also a nice way to spend a morning or afternoon with plenty to keep little ones occupied.

We took our kids that early and it was pure joy to see the smiles on their faces. Not all kids like the larger characters, mine did, but other kids we went with over time did not. But they loved Magic Kingdom and MGM playhouse. You wont' be able to do everything everyone else can in your group, but I would try the parks. Peter pan, Pooh ride, Dumbo were a couple of favorites back then.

My kids liked seaworld also at the age but the MK park better. Now they love Seaworld as they got older.
I think they enjoyed actually experiencing the rides when they were under 2. Whereas Seaworld much of it is passive. You can feed the Dolphins but as a 20 month old it might be more like a 30 second joy and difficult because the way the wall is and the crowds. The stingrays are fun to touch and I think they have the best play area in orlando.
