Default Disney World with a 20-month old?

Please forgive me if this should be in another forum, but I figured Orlandoans may be able to give me the best advice:

My wife and I are taking our 20-month old daughter to Orlando, and we are trying to decide what theme parks/activities are most appropiate for her age group. We don't want to buy these expensive tickets if realistically it will be a waste because she won't be able to do anything (plus she needs a nap by 2pm anyway).

Which parks would we get the most bang for our buck for our little one?

Any additional tips for traveling with a 20-month old are great appreciated.

Ok, so we are also taking our 23 month old to Orlando this May. We took him last year when he was only 10 months old and we had a blast. We do have a 9 year old daughter as well so it is different for us, but there was so much to do at Magic Kingdom with our youngest! There are actually rides for the younger ones to ride, like the Aladdin magic carpet ride and the Dumbo ride, Winnie the Pooh ride, and Peter Pan ride. Plus there are shows to go and see (like the 3D movies) and stuff like that. I would say that the park that we did not enjoy as much with him was Epcot, but they do have the Nemo ride and a few other things there but that was the park that we enjoyed the least. This year we are not doing the Disney thing, instead we are doing the Busch Gradens trip but I would think that Magic Kingdom is your best bet. Also, I like Animal Kingdom and your youngest would too but that is a lot of money to pay to go see animals!!! Good luck and have fun!

Yes! The park is totally geared for kids of all ages. We live near Busch Gardens in Williamsburg and here there is not a whole lot that our son can do so we were very surprised by all the rides and activities that he could participate in at 10 months old at Magic Kingdom. And trust me, we are those parents that stress the height requirements and stuff like that at parks and to be honest, I will not take my kids to carnivals because I feel like they are unsafe. So we take precautions and I swear to you that your child at 20 months old will be able to ride so many things! Near the Aladdin ride there is a Pirates of the Carribbean Ride that your child can go on and there is a Jungle Boat ride that he/she can do. I'm trying to remember everything....there is a stitch ride that my son was too young for and it's not even a ride, it's more like a show that's a little scarey, but it seems like almost everything else was okay for him to get on. There is one roller coaster over in the 'kids section' and that is where they have Mickey and Minnie's house and it's some Goofy roller coaster that the young ones cannot ride but I'm not sure what the are and height requirement are for that one either. You should check it out on line because they might have all this info on the park website.
Let me know if I can help you out anymore.

Have FUN!!!

I think the water parks would be alot of fun, the two they have, have areas for small children where they could play in the water. You can bring in your stroller and let her take a nape part way through the day.

I love the area behind Tomorrowland where they have a nice playground and smaller rides for children.

I should imagine getting their pictures with the characters would be alot of fun. A character meal would be cool as well.
