I'm a potential teacher thinking about moving to the Central Florida area for various reasons. Can anyone give me insight into the public schools? Areas to look out for/ areas that are considerably safe? - not just schools, but to live also. Any information (parents/teachers/regular ol' joes) positive or negative would be appreciated. Thank you!

I don't know about Orange County, but in Seminole County they are laying off teachers.

I think most of the state is laying off teachers. There is a freeze on hiring in some counties. I would look elsewhere right now to tell you the truth.
