Default school systems

I was wondering if someone could point me towards a town located withing 30 or so miles of the Orlando area that has quality schools. I'm contemplating a move to FL and have 1 preschooler age son and a toddler daughter. Just looking for a place they can use the public schools and they can get a quality education...also obviously a safe one. Thanks in advance!

Seminole County schools are great! And, closer to Orlando proximity. However, Brevard schools rank right up there witih Seminole. All would depend if you want to be on the coast or inland and close to New Smryna Beach or Daytona.

If schools are your priority, take a look at the cities in Seminole County. The county's school system has received straight A's since Florida started grading schools. This is why my wife & I live here. It is also why I teach and coach basketball here. Also Lake Mary finished #4 in Money Magazine's Best Places to Live. Winter Springs finished #31.

Seminole county is really great, has lots of different programs within some of the schools like the IB program. we've lived in lake mary for 13 years, and we've been very happy with the schools, and she's now in middle school.
