Publix usually has it, but it's not the best I ever had.

Too bad "The Bubble Room" isn't around anymore...now they had some great red velvet cake. I know it's a drive, but what about the Cheesecake Factory in Winter Park? Maybe they might have it? Don't know for sure.

Hang on...you'll have to make it yourself, but I found the Bubble Room's recipe online:

Thanks for the advice. Winter Park is too far. Its my girlfriend's birthday and I'm planning a scavenger hunt for her. She loves red velvet cake, so I wanted to find a bakery in the area so she can easily drive to the next location to find her next clue. Hmm..I think I'm gonna have to drive up and down OBT/John Young and see if i find a cute little bakery today. Her Bday is tomorrow so I have to do this fast!

Thanks again!

I have to agree normally Publix has some of the best bakery items. Their baked goods are not like most grocery stores, they actually taste very good.

You should try the Dessert Lady on Kirkman south of Conroy. If you do a google search you can find her website. I had the carrot cake once and it was delicious. I know she has a red velvet cake on the menu. It can be pricey if you buy a full cake and is about $8 or so a slice, but it is well done desserts.

Charley's Steakhouse might sell a pretty good Red Velvet Cake, and they are on OBT.

Glad you liked it. I was telling a girl at work about it today too and she was excited. I was impressed with the spot too. If anyone else is interested her website and the menu on it may spark your interest because she uses some great ingredients in her cakes and pies.
