Yeah I have one, so do many other people. This is an exaggeration and you know it.

There are other jobs here besides tourism, however not enough.
For me personally, its worth the trade off. I would rather be here, making less money but happy in the sun, near the beach then anywhere else in the US. |

OK, speaking about the Northesast (New England in Particular).
Less crime per capita. And yes, before anyone makes the famous Florida comeback "There is crime everywhere", yes there is...BUT, it does not occur with the same frequncy. Bottom line, while some people may never have to deal with being a victom of crime, statistically you are more likely to be a victom of crime as a resident of Florida then say Maine, new Hampshire, Vermont, or Connecticut. Quality of education. I'm sure everyone can agree on that. Health care. Now some poeple will argue the crime issue and health care issue, but maybe those people are coming from areas like the Bronx, Newark, or even Bridgeport. So coming from those holes Orlando WILL be paradise. But I still say in general, for a family, or someone who is used to living in a town like Woodbridge Connecticut, Orlando would seem like hell on earth. If you are single, young, with little to no responsibilties, then you will probably like Orlando. If you are just starting out with a family and care about what I call the top 3 quality of life categories (Crime, Schools, and Healthcare), then Orlando may not be for you. |

Even living here I think this thread is completely ridiculous. I think it is ridiculous for the same reason as those who constantly insult Florida like it is some hellhole. Best or Better are relative terms. People look for different things when moving somewhere and there are seemingly no common factors between the two. Vegas and Orlando have more in common and still they are worlds apart as far as living there and experiencing it on a daily basis.

One place is not better than the other, they are different. Some people may love it here and I do not knock them for it. This thread is a nonsense thread just trying to stir everyone up.
