I see a lot of you giving advice about SOBT. Agree with that. Stay away, unless you want to risk your life.

But I left Orlando in 1998, and Metro West was the place to be. I don't doubt any of you, not for a second, but what the heck happened to Metro West?

Nothing happened to Metrowest, it just happens to be across Kirkman Road from one of the biggest crime areas in all of Orlando. MetroWest has grown considerably since you left, a lot of it upper end, so more opportunity for the criminals.

Gotcha. I should have seen that coming! Every time you put druggies and people with money close together, you get massive problems. I saw a lot of that when I moved to southwest Florida.

Thank you so much for the response!

Richmond Heights,Crime Hills,Tangelo park.Low wages no industry outside of tourism and service related jobs.
Metro West is in it's own bubble. Criminals think they have money so they become the targets for them.

I remember when they were just building Metro West - seemed like in the middle of nowhere out off of West 50. My friends and I used to call it "Pine Hills South". People used to tell me how great Metro West was - all from out of town. I'd shake my head and give them only one warning not to move there. None listened. However, when it came time for them to move, they couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Default No, it's not

No, I have lived in Metro West for 4 years. Greatly exagerated on "how bad it is." It is a nice place to live.

It is not exaggerated the least. Google Crime and Metrowest Orlando to see exactly how exaggerated it is. Metrowest is one of the most crime-filled areas in all of Orlando. It's out-right irresponsible to tell people thinking of moving to Orlando that Metrowest is a good area to live in.

It’s so bad they are changing the name from Metrowest to Veranda Park.
