Default Sunday Closures

I am so annoyed that the liquor store, city library, and many other businesses are closed on Sundays around here. I suspect it stems from our large population of a particular religion that views Sunday as 'family day'. I do appreciate that. But speaking as a consumer who might work all week and only have the weekends off for shopping and running errands it would be nice if some of the above mentioned places were open on Sundays.

Please tell me that half of Orlando doesn't shut down on Sundays. Does it?

Where you are from may I ask? I thought this was a normal thing actually. I thought that Orlando was not as bad as other towns when it comes to shutting down on Sundays. Maybe I am just used to it? However, anything run by a government department, be it city or state, is closed on Sunday. Also, small businesses seem to be closed on Sundays too. It sucks but you will probably get used to it too someday

It could be worse. Some places still have blue laws in place.

I believe you will find more things are open on Sunday than closed.. I think the library is probably closed as it is run by the city.
