Trying to Locate Someone in Apopka (Orlando: home, college, friend)

I had a friend that I knew from church once. We grew up together. However, I left the Orlando/Apopka area for almost a year for college, and when I came back, I learned that she had run away from home and left no means of contacting her. She was a close friend of mine, and I became a little worried at the fact that she had not made any attempt to contact me for help.

My question: How do you go about finding someone in this area? It seems incredibly difficult to find a person who has a common name and almost no internet presence without paying cash through the nose. I do not want to post her name in a public forum because I know she has had problems with men stalking her in the past.

Advice is greatly appreciated however. Where would you start with this kind of thing?
