Default Urgent Feedback

Ok, I need URGENT help, I live in upstate NY relocating to Orlando, will work near Universal my wife will work in Winter Park and my daughter (10) and son (2) will go to Faith Christian private school in Goldenrod Road or St can;t remember. I need to rent until my house is sold. I urgently need recommendations for very good neighborhoods. Is Winter Park good? are there bad areas? Please need this info ASAP.. I start July 1, I can afford between 1,100 to 1,250 for rent... looking for 4 bedrooms just in case someone knows.. 7 month lease would also work.. sorry can't trust the Realtors, they are like used car salesman... and lawyers..

The most important to know is if Winter Park is OK... all feedback welcome...

Winter Park is one of the nicest areas in Orlando, 32789 is nicer than 32792.
32792 is where most of the rental properties and apartments are, but you should have no problem there. I would just avoid the 32807 and 32822 ZIP codes in that area for the most part, but the 32814 and 32812 complexes are also nice. You should also not have any problems in most of the surburban areas or complexes. The highest crime areas are Pine Hills, South Orange Blossom Trail, Oak Ridge and parts of Kissimmee. That is mainly 32805, 32811, 32808, 32818, 32809, 34741.

What is this thing with zip codes in Florida? It seems everyone rates an area down here by its zip code.

If one is looking for a house in a certain area, most realtor websites asks for a zipcode, or groups listings by zip code. If a person isn't familiar with the area it's easier to give them zip codes.

Oh and Winter Park is a nice area, centrally located.

Rating by zip code is a modern social caste system that has been catching on in the U.S. for decades now. Instead of publicly putting someone down for being "white trash," black, or Hispanic, our society is moving towards racist/classist/sexist identification by naming zip codes.

I am not trying to be elitist, but simply advising where the OP can look and avoid and the easiest way to avoid someone that is outside the area is by ZIP code.

my honest opinion.... I'm not sure what your going to get of quality for your price range.
I currently live in a 2/2 apartment for around 1200$/mo, in a nice area.
Good luck with everything

I wouldn't worry about it, some people aren't happy unless they're putting a negative spin on things.
I use the zipcode system all the time looking at property. It's a good way to make sure you're in the area you want to be in.
