My husband's job is moving us to Orlando next year and I want to start researching schools now for my daughter who will be starting kindergarten in fall of 2009 (we also have a younger one who will be starting preschool). We are looking at living in the Dr. Phillips area or possibly further south closer to Lakeland. I'd appreciate any listings of schools or input/opinions you might have.
Thanks so much!

Public schools should be fine in the Dr. Phillips area.

I am not too familiar with the elementary schools, but Southwest MS and Dr. Phillips HS have great reputations.

Default Re: Trinity Lutheran School

My daughter has attended this school since Kindergarten and is now in the 2nd Grade. I just started doing Admissions for the School. If you are looking for a small community school that has an accelerated curriculum and teachers Christian values, you should come and check us out.

Most all of the schools in the Dr. Philips area are very highly rated--all the way from elementary school thru high school. If you start looking in some of the areas between Dr. Philips and Lakeland--you need to be a lot more careful. Florida has a website that rates every school in the state. The ratings are A-F. I'm sorry but off-hand I don't know the name of site for sure, but just google Fl. school ratings and you should find it.
