We finally sold our house in TX (yeah!), so our family has been reunited for about 2 weeks now after 8 months apart. My husband and I are having our anniversary next month (July 15th), and we want to do something nice. We want a nice dinner out, and then we want to get a very nice motel for the night. Any suggestions? Please just don't recommend The Melting Pot, because we did that for our anniversary last year and were disappointed by the tiny portion sizes. We don't mind paying a lot on our anniversary, but we want to leave the restaurant full!

I thought surely SOMEBODY would have a suggestion for me!

I recommend dining at Texas De Brazil on International Drive and then spending the night at the Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Studios.

I agree, Texas De Brazil is a great place. You will definitely not leave with an empty stomach!
What about going to Epcot and staying at maybe the Swan or Dolphin or the Yacht and Beach Club. Epcot has the best Steakhouse in their Canadian Pavilion. I know it might sound cheesy but being able to travel the "world" on your anniversary might be very romantic. If price is not an object then I would suggest a night at the Grand Floridian and dinner at Victoria and Alberts. We went there once and it was magical (but very pricey). You have to have reservations pretty far in advance though. So if you are intersted I would call ASAP. Congrats on the happy reunion and I hope you have a great night! |

I agree about staying at the Swan & Dolphin, but you can eat there as well... Il Mulino and bluzoo are two of my absolute favorite restaurants, and we live 2 hours from Orlando!
![]() But in reality, most of the Disney resorts have fantastic restaurants, so it could just depend on what your tastes are. Artists Point at the Wilderness Lodge, California Grill at the Contemporary, and Victoria & Albert's at the Grand Floridian would all be fantastic as well! Have fun (and congratulations)! ![]() |
