I've read all the threads posted and i need a little info from some of the residents of orlando, fl. I am considering relocating from NY to Orlando and i came across a nice apartment complex Called Alta westgates. this complex is located on N. Hiawassee Rd and Silver star Rd. Can anyone give me any info on this area ? The zip code for this complex is 32818. I have children and safety is a must. Any information given will be greatly appreciated.

I won't even lie to you, I grew up in that area and I'd look into some place else. That's a spot you want to move OUT of, not INTO. Trust me.

I would not recommend anything near Silver Star Rd.

What is better part of 32818? Is north of Siver Star Rd and West of Hiawassee the same as Pine Hills area?

You start getting closer to Clarcona, but Silver Star is a bad road until you get out into Ocoee.
